NOC for Stone Crushers

Requirements for Setting up Stone Crushers

To operate a stone crushing unit within the State of Meghalaya, applicants must strictly adhere to environmental regulations and secure the necessary clearances from both the Forest Department and Pollution Control Authorities.

1. Non-Forest Land NOC

The applicant is required to obtain an NOC (Non-Forest Land Certificate) from the Forest & Environment Department. Applications, accompanied by complete land documents and proof of raw material source, must be submitted to the concerned DFO Territorial Division.

2. Consent to Operate

The applicant must also obtain explicit Consent to Operate from the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board to ensure adherence to air and noise pollution standards.

3. Raw Material Sourcing

The stone crusher unit is strictly required to obtain stones/boulders only from legal mining leases or quarry permits granted under the provisions of the Meghalaya Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 2016.
